Greetings from the one swing state that Romney won! And, a Merry Christmas to all!

Our children and grandchildren are all doing great. Liz, Brent, and family are still in Charlotte after almost 6 years, so we get to see them often. Liz is very busy with her many volunteer activities in school and elsewhere. Brent is doing well with Wells Fargo and coaching the kids in soccer. Both of them are exercise fanatics with running, swimming, biking, and more—they both look great! The grandkids, Cate (9), Paige (7), Sam & Will (5) spent about 6 weeks here this summer and all are swimming, water skiing, learning to sail and play golf. Cate ran in a 5k Turkey Trot over Thanksgiving and won her age group!

Cathy took a great trip to Italy with two sisters and a friend. The friend had been a number of times before and arranged fabulous tours for them. They thoroughly enjoyed seeing and learning the history of Rome and Florence. Her golf was derailed again by a bad back, but she seems to be on the mend now. Clothing sales down again!

Brooke's landscaping in Spring!

Brooke took his annual golf trip to Pinehurst in the Spring. And, he continues to waste many days a week struggling around the course! We journeyed to Seabrook Island near Charleston to visit friends in August and were able to attend the PGA Championship on nearby Kiowa Island—even worked out with Tiger Woods (really just a fluke that he was at the Seabrook gym when they were).

That isn't our yacht in the background: (Tiger's actually)

Brooke’s 4th annual ski trip with friends to Aspen/Snowmass in early December cancelled due to lack of snow. He has rescheduled for January and is hoping for better conditions!

We returned to Charleston in December for our nephew’s destination wedding. The grandkids were flower girls and ring bearers and had a ball (as did the rest of us!) There was a lot of dancing, great food, family, and friends!!

Best wishes to you and your family.

Cathy & Brooke
