2020 Merry Christmas 2020 Does our Christmas letter start off sounding like the rest? We have been following all the COVID19 guidance, and the impact on us retired folks, compared to many, has been minimal. We both did some projects around the house, but neither of us came close to completing the list. Pat got really ambitious with the electric hedge trimmer and filled 23 bags with yard trimmings over a 2-week period. Both of us still have too much 'stuff' that needs sorting! Daughter Kathy stays busy at Nathan Adelson Hospice for three 12 hour night shifts per week. Nita and Kathy used to enjoy Broadway Musicals, Nevada Ballet and Concerts at the fantastic Smith Center in downtown Las Vegas - but now it's shopping at Costco & Sam's Club. Second son Andy, daughter-in-law Spon and their children, Naomi (13) in 8th grade, Jonah (10) in 5th and Vance (5) - not much to say - other than Andy, Jonah and Vance leave home for work & school. Spon and Naomi stay home for work and school. Right now, we are planning to see them over Christmas. We are super happy that Jim, our oldest, and Fran Zenzen are engaged - no date set for the wedding. Jim's three children are doing great. Joe (25) is busy working in DC as a member of Arizona's Senator Kyrsten Sinema's staff. Katie (23) graduated online from George Mason and spent the summer working in Sitka, Alaska. After the holidays she will be working in Bethel, Alaska. Steve (19) graduated from Brophy Prep in Phoenix and is enrolled at the University of Nevada in Reno. He has been attending classes both in-person and online from the dorm. Pat and his brother Mike - "Getting out of Dodge"
- went to Evanston WY in Pat's Vette for the 4th of July weekend the
all class high school reunion celebrations. Evanston was home for Pat
& Mike from '56 to '62, and both are pleased that it still is very
special. We hope to take some short road trips
throughout the West next year - after we get the shots. If you are planning a trip to the Las Vegas area - call and come visit! Wishing you a memorable
Holiday season! |
