2025 Merry Christmas 2025

We remain healthy, and so blessed that our children and grandchildren are all well. We continue to spend the majority of our time in the Henderson home we have been in for over 15-years. The one major trip we took was in June, taking the Rivian electric truck to our son Andy and daughter-in-law Spon's home in San Ramon CA to attend the graduation from California High School of granddaughter Naomi. It was a treat for us, since Jim, Fran and Kathy, flew in for the graduation. The weather was fantastic for the outdoor ceremony. The 2021 Corvette convertible remains trouble free. Pat drives it nearly every Saturday morning to Cars & Coffee, a local informal car show and does autocross with the SCCA. Pat took a solo Vette trip to Colorado Springs to attend the Air Force Academy's Distinguished Graduate award ceremony for a fellow classmate and visit old friends. Kathy took us out to dinner for our 57th anniversary on September 21st. In October, we had a staycation at the Plaza Hotel in downtown Las Vegas during the 366th Fighter Wing "The Gunfighters" Reunion. Pat, being local, helped with the arrangements. Pat will be having a quiet 80th birthday on December 28th.

We achieved a major milestone on July 13, 2025 - we are now great grand parents. Our grandson Joe and granddaughter-in-law Danni became parents with the birth of Sophia Michelle in Rockville MD. Sophia, Joe and Danni, occupied our guest room for a few days over Thanksgiving. They flew in from DC with the new grandparents, son Jim and daughter-in-law Fran. Also joining us for Thanksgiving was son Andy, daughter-in-law Spon and grandchildren Naomi, Jonah and Vance - driving down from San Ramon CA. Daughter Kathy was able to take some time off and help Nita with meals.

Son Jim and wife Fran in Annandale VA, when not working - are traveling - checking items off their 'Bucket List' and to see family. Grandson Joe is busy as a member of Senator Mark Kelley's staff, and wife Danni is on maternity leave from the Department of Homeland Security. Granddaughter Katie is with the US Dept of Agriculture in Juneau AK and remains quite the sportswoman. She got engaged while deer hunting to Ben Landes. Grandson Steve lives in Reno, working as a broker for ITS Logistics. Son Andy, daughter-in-law Spon and their children: Naomi (18) a student at a local junior college, Jonah (15) is in 10th grade and Vance (almost 10) in 4th grade, are all doing well. Daughter Kathy continues as a hospice nurse and recently adopted two cats from a shelter after losing her 20 year old cat, Daphne.

We received a Christmas letter suggesting an email letter next year to curtail mailing costs, etc. We would gladly receive them at PatandNita@embarqmail.com. Our letters and others have been posted here for 19-years.
