The Bailey Family 2007 Holiday Letter

Merry Christmas

Cathy and Brooke

2007 Season greetings from North Carolina! We've had an eventful year with two births and two passings.

Our daughter, Liz, and her husband, Brent, had fraternal twin boys in May. Sam(uel) Paul weighed in at 6lbs. 15ozs, and Will(iam) Bailey was 5lbs. 4 ozs. Both are doing very well. And, we're fortunate that they live in Charlotte. It is about a 4 hour drive, but quite a bit closer than Atlanta or New York. With Catey (4) and Paige (2), the Bundons have their hands full. We see them about once a month. They bought a wonderful house in January that will accommodate the entire crowd!!

Sadly, Cathy's father left us, unexpectedly, but peacefully in February. Brooke's mother passed away in August after declining for a few months. We miss them both.

Brooke is still flying on a part-time basis for two different groups. One has an older Cessna 421, twin reciprocating engine airplane, and the other has a new King Air turbo prop. Most of his flights are day trips with an occasional overnight. When not flying, he still manages to get out on the golf course and has gotten his handicap down to a 9!! Apparently, he's going through another mid-life crisis (maybe a little late!) as he finally bought his "cadet" car-a new Corvette! It is truly a rocket ship and a radar detector is a must! (Cathy even likes it!)

Cathy and her sister, Barbara, are still marketing Doncaster clothing from our house. They work hard at it and have done well. Cathy passed her torch on as president of the local chapter of an international women's group. She is still very active.

We power walk three or four days a week and go to the gym the other days. Of course, we're having a great time being grandparents of four.

Our travels have been limited mostly to Charlotte this year. Cathy came on a working flight to Miami for President's Weekend. We did the Miami Boat Show (spectacular yachts), Joe's Stone Crab and Key West. We also went to Asheville, NC for a weekend and enjoyed the Biltmore, hiking and great food.

We wish you all the best for the holidays and the New Year.
