Zack Stidmon

Zackary Stidmon

On 11 Dec 1973 Capt. Zachary Stidmon, Class of 1968, was killed in an aircraft accident near Homestead AFB, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Catherine, and by his mother, Mrs. Irene N. Stidmon. Capt. Stidmon was named to the Superintendent's Merit List each semester while at the Academy. He was the squadron commander of the 11th Cadet Squadron. He graduated in 1968 with a major in Economics. Following graduation he earned his masters degree in Economics at UCLA. In 1969 he was assigned as an Operations Research analyst at Hq. MAC. Capt. Stidmon went on to UPT at Moody AFB in 1970. In 1971 he served with the 84th F I Sq. at Hamilton AFB, flying the F-106 aircraft.
