Stephen Worth Thomson

Stephen Worth Thomson, 60, of Edwardsville , IL and formerly of Sullivan, Indiana died at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2006 . The 1964 graduate of Sullivan High School was born August 16, 1946 in Sullivan to A. Keith Thomson and Sophia Gill Thomson. He was an attorney and the owner of Thomson Law Office in Edwardsville. He was a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, CS - 08, the Indiana University School of Law and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Madison County Bar Association. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife Diane Rubino Thomson of Edwardsville, two sons Matthew Thomson of Boston, MA and Jeffrey Thomson of Hoboken, NJ, one daughter Claire Thomson of Manhattan, NY, his mother of Robinson, IL, one brother Andrew Thomson of Marion, IL, two sisters Karen Heap of Robinson, IL and Kathleen Thomson of Bloomington and other relatives.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Father Kenneth Graehler officiated. Burial was in the Westlawn Cemetery at Farmersburg with military rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera American Legions and the Sullivan VFW. Pallbearers were Jim Ebler, Michael Thompson, Justin Tryon, Bill Pasco, Colin Heap and Andrew Thomson.
